Today, I’m brewing a huge Imperial IPA with rye and generous amounts of Centennial hops. It’s actually mashing right now! (12.8.11 11:35am pst) Recipe here: http://hopville.com/recipe/1025792/imperial-ipa-recipes/centennial-rye-iipa
Life and errands got in the way of brewing today. Already milled grains for tomorrow’s brew. Off to the garage to clean up the brewery, more like move the stuff out of the way so that there IS a brewery! Then to keg my porter!

Bottling day tomorrow. Hopefully this round will go better than the last. There’s less than 1 month till the wedding and I’ve got about 20-30 gallons of beer to get in bottles so they can carb and condition and be ready to drink on our big day. Tomorrow will begin with cleaning bottles. Taking a bottle brush to every. single. bottle. Won’t be very fun, but it will be worth it.
My bottling bucket fell when trying to siphon out the last beer or two, landing right on top of all the uncapped full bottles. One bottle broke and I lost over a gallon of beer. There was only 4 gallons to begin with and I only made one batch of this pale ale. F**K. I’m freaking over bottling… who’s gonna get me a keg setup?!?!?!?!
